- Ensure all construction is completed safely and in full accordance with plans & specifications
- Responsible for production efficiencies in regards to schedule and quality of work
- Assist with training newer labour personnel - actively mentor/cross-train
- Ensure that work area is kept safe, while maintaining a clean site / area
- Operate skid-steer, digger-derrick truck and backhoe equipment periodically
- Administering company standards, policies, procedures and other regulatory requirements
- Work closely and provide direction to other divisions and subtrades (hydrovac, directional-drilling, gas fuser, etc)
- Participate / Lead daily Safety Tailboard Meetings and Hazard Assessments
- 2 years’ experience in shallow utility construction
- Proven ability to direct and communicate with staff efficiently and respectfully
- Knowledge of utility specifications and drawings
- Must have a valid Class-5 driver’s license and vehicle to get to job sites
- Candidates must reside locally or within a reasonable commuting distance to be considered
- Depending on qualifications, the successful candidate may be offered a position at a more appropriate level.
