Company: Rostel IndustriesLocation: Calgary, ABOnsiteThe Inventory Assistant is responsible for the day-to-day duties of inventory and materials for shop operations. This position will report directly to the Inventory Controller and assist trade support groups as required to the highest quality standards.CULTURE:

  • Picking and packing, preparing orders daily
  • Receive and sort buy-out materials
  • Load and unload freight and materials as instructed
  • Unpack, code, and route goods to appropriate storage areas
  • Work on the EPR system utilizing SAP
  • Maintain internal, manual, or computerized inventory cycle count
  • Operate forklift, hand truck, or other equipment to load, unload, transport, and store goods
  • General warehouse maintenance, such as cleaning and organization
  • Participate in all safety meetings and assist with identifying workplace hazards
  • Various other duties as required
  • Overtime as required
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
  • A High school diploma is required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment and have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail with numbers
  • Forklift experience is an asset, though training will be provided to the right candidate
  • Must be willing to work in safety safety-conscious environment
  • Must be motivated and have good communication skills, have a positive attitude, and be able to work well in a collaborative setting as well as on their own
