- Process invoices, payments, and expense reimbursements with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness
- Manage accounts receivable activities, including invoicing and proactive follow-up on outstanding balances, while responding to vendor and customer inquiries and supporting timely issue resolution
- Review and reconcile supplier invoices, ensuring accurate matching and resolution of discrepancies
- Perform account reconciliations related to AP and AR processes, including corporate credit cards and PO accruals, and clear aged or outstanding items
- Support and perform monthly and year-end close activities, including preparing and posting journal entries, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
- Perform balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations, maintaining supporting schedules and ensuring accuracy of account balances
- Assist with financial reporting and analysis as part of the close process
- Monitor, analyze, and reconcile inventory transactions and product costing to ensure accuracy of inventory and cost data
- In collaboration with internal teams, investigate and analyze inventory variances
- Assist with annual physical inventory counts and related reporting and reconciliation activities
- Prepare monthly variance analysis and support operational backlog reporting
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and external audit processes
- Prepare and file HST and WSIB returns in compliance with requirements
- Support bank and external audits through documentation and analysis
- Identify and recommend process and system improvements
- Post-secondary education in Accounting or Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2–3 years of hands-on accounting experience in a high-volume, transactional environment
- Experience with AP/AR, reconciliations, and month-end processes, including working with customer and vendor portals
- Proficiency in ERP systems (experience with Visual or similar)
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience working with data and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) to support decision-making
- Working knowledge of GAAP and ability to apply concepts in practice
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and consistency in high-volume financial work
- Proven ability to prioritize competing deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and stay organized
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally (e.g., Finance, Operations, Warehouse)
- Interest in systems, data, and process improvement
- Enrolment in a recognized accounting designation program (e.g., CPA) or intention to pursue is an asset
- Exposure to inventory or manufacturing environments is an asset
