Key Focus:
- Lead and manage quality assurance, claims resolution, APQP / process validations, and customer service activities.
- Act as a cross-functional leader, collaborating with engineering, production, supply chain, and sales to meet performance goals and deliver best-in-class product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and customer-specific standards in both medical (ISO 13485) and automotive (IATF 16949) sectors.
- Drive continuous improvement in product, quality, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency across the quality team.
- Manage daily quality control operations including inspections, audits, and final release of product.
- Maintain and enforce compliance with all ISO standards including ISO 13485, IATF 16949, and internal QMS procedures.
- Support internal and external audits, including customer and regulatory inspections.
- Lead investigation and resolution of customer complaints, internal deviations, and audit findings.
- Perform root cause analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.) and lead CAPA or 8D processes.
- Ensure timely, thorough communication with internal teams and external customers on claim status and resolution.
- Oversee process and tool validations (IQ/OQ/PQ) for new and existing tooling, processes, and equipment. Making sure the plans are clearly defined and executed on time and escalating issues when they arise.
- Collaborate with engineering and production to support PPAP submissions and APQP deliverables.
- Monitor and improve process capability and product conformity using statistical methods.
- Participate in customer audits, meetings, and quality reviews to represent the organization's quality performance.
- Lead proactive customer communication regarding product quality, improvements, and performance metrics.
- Participate in kaizen events, and lean initiatives to improve quality and reduce waste.
- Analyze trends using SPC, non-conformance data, and customer feedback to drive quality improvements.
- Promote a culture of quality ownership and continuous improvement throughout the team.
- Develop and continuously improve departmental procedures and work instructions to increase effectiveness and efficiency performance indicators.
- Monitor subordinate performance and train and develop where necessary to meet company expectations.
- Actively work as a QMCS/QMOP as required to meet company objectives and customer expectations.
- Stop production facilities in the event of occurring and foreseeable quality deviations.
- Implement new and maintain existing quality and metrology software and equipment so that it is effective and efficient.
- Support Environmental, Health & Safety initiatives throughout the facility, ensuring safety, housekeeping and quality standards are maintained
- University degree with a technical, Engineering background
- Three to five years' experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment; experience in silicone injection molding is strongly preferred.
- Prior experience in medical and/or automotive quality systems and compliance is essential.
- Preferred Certifications:
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
- Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.)
- Certified Quality Auditor (CQA)
- Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt)
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, IATF 16949 requirements.
- Experience in managing validations (IQ/OQ/PQ), CAPAs, root cause analysis, and customer complaints.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and quality management software
- Solid understanding of statistical tools (SPC, Minitab, etc.) and lean manufacturing principles.
- Ability to effectively coach, manage and support team members. Demonstrates ability to work as a team player and motivate others effectively within a team environment to get the required results.
