
Facilities Maintenance Supervisor - Northern Interior

- Provide roving, field-based supervision across assigned BC Hydro facilities.
- Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of staff and contractors.
- Oversee and verify work performed and ensure it is completed safety and efficiently.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with local site leadership.
- Conduct routine site visits and complete Building Condition Checklists.
- Review and validate hazardous or deteriorating conditions, ensuring timely reporting and resolution.
- Capture and maintain photographic and digital records of site conditions and completed work.
- Plan and execute work in accordance with Black & McDonald Corporate Safety policy and provincial regulations.
- Ensure Facilities Maintenance activities are in alignment with contract requirements and Service Level Agreements.
- Supervise maintenance and project related activities, requisition of materials and supplies.
- Resolve work problems and recommend work measures to improve productivity.
- Prepare quotes and repair recommendations.
- Support the Operations Manager and account management team with regional coordination and feedback.

- Completion of secondary school required.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in facilities management, preferably in a multi-site role.
- Formal training in supervisory responsibilities preferred.
- Strong understanding of building systems, asset management, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience working with public sector clients or utility providers is an asset.
- Excellent in supervision, communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in computer skills and digital tools for site documentation and reporting.
- Strong skills in supervision, negotiation, and problem solving.
- Ability to follow instructions, both written and verbal.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Proven planning and scheduling skills.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned region.
