We operate from facilities located on the South Shore of Montreal at MET Montreal Metropolitan Airport (CYHU) and in Quebec City at Jean Lesage International Airport (CYQB).We provide scheduled and line maintenance services, avionics modifications, and research and development services for business aircraft and large carriers. We offer 24/7 Aircraft on Ground (AOG) services to help customers meet their on-time departure obligations and minimize downtime.Our parent company, Chrono Aviation, was founded in Quebec City in 2012. At its inception, the company operated a single Pilatus PC-12 and employed two pilots. Today, the Chrono Aviation Group boasts a fleet of 15 aircraft and a team of 250 employees.Role and contextThe Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – M1 is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and modifying piston-engine aircraft in accordance with safety and airworthiness standards. The engineer ensures that all work is performed in compliance with Transport Canada regulations, manufacturer requirements, and the company’s internal procedures.Key responsibilities
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on piston-engine aircraft following maintenance manuals and safety standards.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on aircraft.
  • Conduct periodic inspections, including airframe, engine, and system checks.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Use and maintain specialized tools and testing equipment for mechanical interventions.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance team members to optimize work efficiency.
  • Strictly adhere to safety protocols and quality control procedures.
  • Train and mentor junior or apprentice aircraft maintenance engineers as needed.
  • Communicate with pilots and operational staff to report and clarify technical issues.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to maintenance and safety.

Specific job requirements
  • Valid Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) License – Category M1.
  • Knowledge of aircraft mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Experience with aircraft diagnostic and testing tools.
  • Strong understanding of Transport Canada regulations and airworthiness standards.
  • Training in aviation safety and quality control procedures.
