As part of our collective mission of Feeding the Future, the Evergro Division provides solutions through our trusted technical sales representatives at locations in Western Canada. With one of the largest selections of specialty nutritional products, Nutrien Solutions provides the broadest approach to plant nutrient demands, serving specialty markets of golf course, greenhouse, nursery, and agricultural food crops. Our product line also includes soilless media, turf grass seeds, bio-security products and grower supplies.Reporting to the Delta Distribution Manager, this position is ideal for a person with a positive customer service attitude who has the ability and willingness to perform a variety of tasks from interacting directly with customers, to being hands-on in the warehouse. There is minimal travel involved with this position and it based out of the Delta office/warehouse.What you will do:
  • Support Inside Sales by answering product questions, promoting our products and providing exemplary Customer Service
  • Process Customer orders and payments using a computerized ERP system
  • Assist with managing inventory, ordering products, and forecasting inventory
  • Customer order fulfillment, picking and preparing orders for shipment, including loading bags and containers onto pallets (this includes regular manual heavy lifting of packaged
product over 50 lbs.) and operating a forklift to move pallets onto trucks * Maintaining warehouse safety/standards
  • General Administrative and other duties as required
What you will bring:
  • Formal post-secondary education in agriculture, horticulture, landscape or turf management would be an asset
  • Knowledge and experience in handling chemicals and pesticides, and/or knowledge of the agricultural/horticultural industry and associated products is required
  • Demonstrated commitment to Safety, strong work ethic, exceptional customer service skills, and ability to work as a team player
  • Excellent communication and computer skills are required
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including some overtime
  • Currently possess or have interest in obtaining a Pesticide Dispensers License
  • Any experience with ERP systems (specifically SAP) would be an asset
  • Ability to speak Punjabi would be an asset
Compensation & Benefits:The estimated salary that Indeed, Glassdoor and LinkedIn suggested does not represent Nutrien's compensation structure.The salary range for this role, in Delta, BC location, is between $58,000 - $80,000. While we provide this range as general guidance, several factors are taken into consideration when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.We provide an attractive benefits package that includes comprehensive medical, dental, vision coverage, and life insurance and well as disability coverage for positions working more than 30 hours per week.
