- Develops, builds, and maintains schedules for large capital projects, including the integration of multiple logic-tied schedules.
- Identifies factors, both current and potential, that may delay the schedule. Assesses actions for recovery and improvement and analyzes changes to the schedule to meet unforeseen conditions.
- Follows site planning issues through to completion, involving any and all appropriate stakeholders.
- Supports Site Management through preparation and maintenance of schedule reports and progress analysis.
- Audits existing Engineering, Procurement, and Construction schedules for quality, characteristics, logic, and adherence. Advises Project Management and Project Controls of corrections and improvements as required.
- Develops detailed construction schedules with the Construction Management team.
- Assembles scheduling data from a variety of sources including engineering, vendors/suppliers, subcontractors, or others.
- Provides scheduling, manpower, and progress measurement reports in support of weekly and monthly reporting.
- Produces workforce histograms and progress and quantity curves in connection with the schedules.
- Supervises updating of construction forecasts to reflect the most current plans and requirements.
- Interfaces with other departments to provide scheduling data for items such as subcontract change requests, bid comparisons, new work item estimates, and resolution of potential work schedule problems.
- May provide supervision and on-the-job training to clerical and entry-level professional personnel assigned to the area of responsibility.
- Performs additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.
- 10+ years of major project scheduling, including the detailed planning of engineering, procurement, and construction work activities experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Must have extensive experience with Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Office applications; working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
- Strong knowledge of and ability to progress project work activities using Earned Value Management methods.
- Thorough understanding of the nature of process systems, structures, and construction technology required.
