This role requires regular hands‑on work in both Calgary and Red Deer, supporting clients, projects, and in‑person collaboration across Central Alberta.This is a senior, hands‑on technical role for someone who enjoys balancing design‑level thinking with practical execution. You’ll be a go‑to resource for complex technical work, trusted client guidance, and raising the bar on how IT is delivered.WHAT YOU’LL DOYour primary mandate: help humans and businesses succeed through well‑designed, well‑supported technology.
- Take ownership of complex technical issues—diagnosing root causes, not just symptoms
- Design, deploy, and support business‑critical systems across on‑prem, cloud, and hybrid environments
- Serve as a technical escalation point for challenging problems and high‑impact incidents
- Partner with Technical Account Managers to proactively identify risks, improvements, and roadmap opportunities
- Lead and contribute to IT projects, from design through execution and post‑implementation review
- Provide clear, confident recommendations grounded in best practices and real‑world experience
- Document environments, decisions, and changes with a long‑term operational mindset
- Microsoft Windows–based desktops and servers
- Microsoft Exchange (on‑premises) and Microsoft 365
- Remote Desktop Services (RDS)
- Advanced firewall, networking, and security solutions
- Cloud services and hybrid architectures
- Mobile device management and endpoint security
- Windows Server upgrades, lifecycle planning, and modernization
- P2V and V2V migrations and infrastructure transformations
- Designing and executing server and workload migrations with minimal business disruption
- SharePoint migrations, including on‑premises to SharePoint Online
- Building solutions that scale, are supportable, and won’t create tomorrow’s problems
- You communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- You exercise sound judgment and know when “simple and reliable” beats “clever”
- You care about doing things right, not just fast

- Certifications are a plus—but demonstrated experience and credibility matter more
