From field exploration and lab testing to designing and managing the construction of complex geotechnical structures, our team does rock-solid work.Join our team and discover the opportunities that await.Your OpportunityStantec is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Technician and Senior Geotechnical Project Manager – Materials Testing and InspectionsSend Project Manager to join our team in the Markham, ON office.Your Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to work with engineers and other technicians performing general duties consisting of both field and laboratory wor,k including the following:Managing budgets, timelines, and scope of projects assignedCoordination and supervision of material testing and test pitting programs for a variety of small to large projects spanning from infrastructure, residential, commercial, and industrial developmentsMentoring, coaching, and training of technical staff as requiredGeotechnical field testing such as rock anchor testing, observation of deep foundation installation, piezometer installation and measurements, slope stability monitoring using inclinometers, downhole thermistor installation, etc.Construction quality control/quality assurance and preparation of quality documentsAssist with field and laboratory testing of soils/concrete/asphaltOverseeing proposal and report preparation in the officeOther general field and office-related dutiesYour Capabilities and CredentialsEnergetic team player with a commitment to superior client serviceExperience working with minimal supervisionDemonstrate initiative and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environmentA valid Driver's License is requiredAbility and willingness to work away from homeWillingness to work overtime as requiredEducation and ExperienceTechnical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experienceA minimum of 15 years of experience in materials testing and inspections is required5-10 years of materials testing project management experienceThe position will require fieldworkTypical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.   • Locations in Lower Mainland -- BC, GTA & Ottawa Ontario-$103,300.00 - $153,300.00 Annually
Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
