- Oversee close processes across monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles, including consolidation tasks and supporting documentation.
- Produce financial statement support files and ensure reporting accuracy and timeliness.
- Compile internal reports and coordinate financial information for stakeholders and lenders on a recurring basis.
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities, including ongoing tracking of performance.
- Address accounting and tax-related matters across multiple entities or regions.
- Handle end-to-end accounting responsibilities for the head office.
- Maintain compliance with reporting standards (e.g., IFRS) and internal policies, updating procedures as needed.
- Help design and sustain internal control frameworks.
- Liaise with auditors and assist during review and audit periods.
- Provide oversight and review of junior accounting staff work.
- Analyze and review financial submissions from international operations.
- Monitor cash flow reporting and prepare regular cash summaries.
- Audit and approve employee expense submissions.
- Complete required regulatory and tax filings, including indirect tax returns and annual disclosures.
- Assist external advisors with corporate tax preparation.
- Take part in ad hoc initiatives and cross-functional projects.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- CPA designation or CPA pursuing considered an asset.
