ABOUT THE ROLEAmrize Canada Inc., operating in Calgary, is currently seeking applications for an experienced full-time seasonal Groundsperson to join our dynamic team. The Groundsperson will carry out scheduled ground maintenance work. In this role, you will report to the Aggregates Production Lead Hand and will work co-operatively with the aggregates team.WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISHPerform several types of manual workHandle materials, tools, and equipmentOperate automotive vehicles and small mobile equipment such as a skid steer when requiredShovel spillage around conveyorsEnsure the safety of company personnel, the community, and environmentSeek out and implement Best Practices
Create an atmosphere of teamwork and ensure the development of personnel and arbitrate to resolve conflictsIdentify and communicate product problems and informationDemonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOREducation: High school diploma or equivalentRequired Training/Certifications:Valid Class 5 Drivers License
Required Work Experience: Min 2 years of experience operating a loaderAdditional Requirements:Capable of working in an outdoor environment year roundExcellent communication and problem-solving skills.Knowledge in general maintenance workAble to lift 55 lbsAble to work in a fast paced, high production environmentWilling to work overtime and shifts when needed including SaturdaysAble to work unsupervisedMechanically InclinedAbility to read survey markings.Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
