College Diploma in Security Management or related field. An equivalent combination of education, experience and job knowledge may also be considered.Language Requirements:
Bilingual imperative with proficiency at the CBC level. If you are unsure of your proficiency level, we encourage you to self-assessExperience:
- Supervising security personnel by mentoring, assigning tasks, providing feedback, and supporting development.
- Providing security advice and guidance to clients and management.
- Developing and maintaining partnerships with internal or external stakeholders.
- Recent experience working in at least two of the following security controls: security screening, information technology security, physical security, business continuity management, information management security, security requirements associated with contracts and other arrangements, security event management, security awareness or training.
- Security program development and evaluation.
- Government of Canada security policies, instruments, and guidelines related to departmental security.
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing, with the ability to adapt to all audiences
- Work effectively with tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
- Collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

- Graduation with a bachelor's degree from a recognized post-secondary institution
- Experience working in Building Emergency and Evacuation Preparedness
- Experience leading a physical security program or security event management for public events.
- All CNSC staff are subject to the Mobility Directive.
- Frequent travel is required for this position.
- Overtime: Some overtime may be necessary.
- This is a Designated Officer position.
- This position includes participation in an on-call program (duty officer).
