Pay Range: C$80 - C$90 per hourIntroductionWe are seeking a Subject Matter Expert to support a strategic Capital Markets initiative focused on bringing vendor-supported functionality in-house. This role will be critical in bridging business and technology, providing deep expertise across FX products, and supporting system design, data flows, and end-to-end implementation. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience and a deep understanding of FX trading workflows and system architecture.Required Skills & Qualifications
- 7 years of experience in Capital Markets systems, with deep expertise in Murex (must-have)
- Strong understanding of FX products and trade lifecycle
- Proven experience working on Murex implementations, enhancements, or transformations
- Hands-on experience with:
- Murex configuration and/or functional setup
- Data mapping and system integration
- Testing and validation (no reliance on separate QA teams)
- Strong knowledge of front, middle, and back-office workflows
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, hands-on role
- Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry
- Experience supporting Murex in a transformation or vendor transition environment
- Exposure to payments, FX wires, or cross-border flows
- SQL or data analysis experience
- Prior experience working within large financial institutions
- Act as the SME across FX and Capital Markets initiatives
- Support the transition of vendor-managed functionality to in-house capabilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders (trading, operations, risk) to define requirements and translate into system solutions
- Provide expertise on architecture, configuration, and data flows
- Analyze and support front-to-back trade lifecycle processes (FX spot, forwards, swaps, etc.)
- Work closely with development teams on system enhancements, integrations, and data mapping
- Perform hands-on data validation, reconciliation, and system testing
- Own and execute end-to-end testing (unit, integration, UAT) in the absence of a dedicated QA team
- Support data setup, configuration, and migration activities
- Identify gaps between current vendor-supported functionality and future in-house state
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and delivery
- Fast-paced, high-visibility transformation initiative
- Lean team with strong ownership expectations
- Direct interaction with both business and technology stakeholders
