- Ensure the availability, performance and security of the X86 (Windows) infrastructure;
- Develop system administration standards and procedures according to preferred practices;
- Ensure tactical management of infrastructure operations and services (backup, recovery, archiving, replication, network, servers, storage, security patches, etc.);
- Plan capacity demand;
- Ensure proactive management of services and systems using maintenance, monitoring and automation tools;
- Participate in the design and documentation of technological architecture;
- Write technology installation, maintenance and support instructions;
- Prepare and document change requests;
- Maintain configuration management;
- Carry out or participate in various projects related to his/her field of expertise.
- Be a technical mentor and reference for X86 system administrators.
- Fifteen (15) years of experience, including four (4) years of experience in similar positions within the last five (5) years;
- High degree of autonomy and resourcefulness
- Relevant training related to the position;
- Concrete experience in a cloud environment;
- Ability to work in both French and English (spoken and written). The job requires proficiency in English at a professional level. The candidate will interact on a weekly basis either with R2i (2) offices in Ontario or with various English-speaking customers or business partners.;
- Mastery of the Esxi/vcenter environment;
- Be able to design and build a complete environment from scratch.
- Mastery of Microsoft Windows Server ;
- Mastery of Microsoft 365 Enterprise / SharePoint;
- Manage a complete environment and mentor Level 2s.
- Mastery of Veeam or other backup solution;
- Configure from scratch and set up a complete backup solutio
- Extensive knowledge of backup concepts
- Advanced knowledge of Nutanix;
- Good knowledge of AWS
- knowledge and experience with Microsoft Azure
- Knowledge and interest in managing security and SIEM tools
- Experience in systems architecture;
- Ability to manage a technical project and implement it with a dedicated project manager;
- VCloud Director knowledge;
- Certifications: Microsoft MCSA, VMware Professional (VMWare Certified Professional);
- Knowledge of networks (LAN-WAN, Firewall, routers, VLan, VPN, MPLS, load balancer, etc.);
- Knowledge of CISCO and Meraki equipment;
- Knowledge of Hyper-V;
- Knowledge of monitoring tools: Zabbix, Nagios, Xymon;
- Knowledge of ITSM solutions;
- Knowledge of ITIL best practices and methodologies;
- Basic knowledge of PowerShell scripting;
- Any other certification deemed relevant to the job.
