We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate on-site Health Care Assistant (HCA) Instructor to support and guide students and helping prepare them for successful entry into the healthcare workforce.This position is primarily for a theory course later on moving to clinical placement, to be delivered from a our Maple Ridge ,BC campus. The role plays a key part in ensuring students receive a comprehensive, hands-on educational experience that meets both regulatory standards and industry expectations. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical knowledge, a supportive teaching approach, and a commitment to student success.This part-time role 8:30 am to 5:00pm Wednesday to Friday plus a day for an open lab offers variable hours up to 30 hours per week and has the potential to lead to future advancements within the college.Rate Range: $32 to $35/hourKey Responsibilities:
- Facilitate student learning in classroom, providing guidance and support throughout.
- Prepare and deliver lesson plans, learning activities, and assessments aligned with course objectives.
- Ensure compliance with program accreditation standards, regulatory guidelines, and college policies.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and evaluations.
- Two or more years of full-time nursing experience – required.
- 2800 hours of nursing experience
- nursing experience must include working with older adults with complex health needs
- Nursing experience must include experience or orientation in home support and multi-level care
- Ability to teach adult learners (mentoring / instructing)
- Provincial Instructors Diploma and previous experience or
- Aptitude and willingness to learn and obtain an Instructor Diploma (with our help)
