Our client is continuing to expand and is seeking an experienced High-Rise Site Superintendent to join their team in Calgary. This role offers strong career development and growth opportunities, exposure to complex concrete high-rise construction, and involvement in large-scale, landmark projects.
The Site Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day site operations, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards, with a strong focus on concrete structure execution.Site Superintendent Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Project Manager, Project Coordinator, and other project team members
- Oversee subcontractors, schedules, quality control, and site safety for high-rise concrete projects
- Lead and manage all site activities related to concrete structure, sequencing, and coordination
- Contribute to decisions regarding construction methodology, sequencing, and design implementation
- Work with the project team to proactively identify and resolve site-related challenges
- Lead, mentor, and provide guidance to site personnel and trade partners
- Maintain clear communication with internal teams, consultants, and external stakeholders
- Manage conflict by addressing issues professionally and constructively
- Proactively seek solutions and escalate issues when required
- Demonstrate the ability to plan ahead, anticipate challenges, and manage work efficiently
- Lead by example in health, safety, and environmental compliance on site
- Proven experience delivering high-rise concrete structure multi-family projects, typically $20M+
- Strong knowledge of concrete construction methods, formwork systems, building codes, and industry best practices
- Ability to anticipate constructability issues in complex, high-density environments and implement effective solutions
- Strong conflict-resolution and leadership skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, submittals, and specifications
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality control
- Excellent communication and team-collaboration skills
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Teams
- Experience with Procore (or similar construction management software) is an asset
- The discussed salary range is $130,000 – $155,000, depending on experience
