Element has an opportunity for an experienced Maintenance/Mechanical. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems, . The ideal candidate will be able to perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair complex mechanical systems. This is a full-time position that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
- Align, fit, and assemble component parts, using hand tools and power tools.
- Install electrical and electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies, using soldering equipment and hand tools.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various mechanical systems, pumps, motors, and electrical issues
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with temperature control systems, inline weigh scales, and vacuum systems
- Conduct routine inspections and testing of mechanical systems to identify potential issues before they become major problems
- Collaborate with engineering team to design and implement solutions for complex mechanical system problems
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and testing results
- Assist in the development of procedures and standards for maintenance and repair of mechanical systems
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce downtime
- Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Repair, rework, and calibrate hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies and systems to meet operational specifications and tolerances.
- Verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
- Diagnose and repair malfunctioning apparatus such as motors, drives, starters, and process instruments.
- Replace/repair/calibrate faulty electrical and instrumentation components such as relays, switches, contactors, solenoids, photo eyes, flow meters, level, and pressure indicators/transmitters, RTD's, etc.
- Observe production equipment in operation and troubleshoot equipment failures.
- Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
- Examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
- Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
- Repair or replace defective parts. Install special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricate and clean parts.
- Start devices to test their performance.
- Knowledge of equipment in a food manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Comply with HR policies and procedures.
- Comply with relevant employment laws.

- Minimum associate degree in industrial electronics and/or plant maintenance from a two-year college, technical or trade school
- Two to five years applicable experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Familiarity with basic mechanical and electrical terminology.
- Ability to recognize problems with various types of industrial machinery.
- Experience in food processing.
- 2+ years of experience as a Maintenance/Mechanical Technician or equivalent
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, and conveyor systems
- Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate-degree or technical certification preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols
