- Participate as a key member of the USCAN business leadership team. Partner with business leaders and staff to define finance strategy, drive operating performance & act as a champion on all finance activities.
- Lead and direct, coach and develop a team of Finance Managers and Analysts active in/for the business/region.
- Ownership for developing estimates, operating plans/forecasts/reviews, Long Term Strategy (3-year plan), Budget (1-year plan).
- Driving profitable growth by providing analysis of results and reporting key metrics while advising the leadership team on risks and opportunities, as well as recommending actions.
- Overall responsibility for all internal finance processes, commercial deal architecture, provide operational rigor on cash management, lead opportunities on price and price change
- Manage reporting and statutory requirements - internal to business and externally.
- Lead Pension-related finance activities to ensure appropriate funding status and adherence to local requirements and regulations
- Support tax audits in your capacity as the most senior finance resource in Canada.
- Finance liaison for all Business Development & Acquisition, Integration and Divesting activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with 8+ years of experience including developing forecasts & operating plans and leading business / finance reviews.
- Strong analytical skills: expertise in data analytics to be able to extract proper data from systems & create reports that would allow identification of operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change.
- Clear thinking / problem solving: successfully led cross-functional projects/process improvement within operations/finance function involving process improvement; able to quickly grasp new ideas
- Leadership experience: has minimum of five years experience leading team members
- Excellent communication and influencing skills: experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex financial information in an easy to understand manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing
- Technology skills: experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: Oracle, Hyperion, Power BI, etc.), strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (i.e. pivot tables, VLookup, and Macros)
- You must be willing to travel a minimum of 20% of the time

- Trained and/or certified in process improvement methodology such as LEAN or Six Sigma
