- Uses the DemandTec Pricing tool to execute the category pricing strategy defined by the Category Managers (CMs).
- Assigned to specific banners and categories, collaborating with CMs to gain in-depth understanding of each category's pricing approach.
- Provides informed recommendations and constructively challenges CMs to ensure strong, banner-aligned pricing strategies.
- Completes weekly price updates for assigned categories and reviews outcomes with the Category Manager.
- Analyzes weekly competitive checks and provides recommended pricing adjustments.
- Executes the category pricing strategy for Special Ship items.
- Works collaboratively with the Category Manager and Pricing Manager to establish and achieve category strategies, performance metrics, and financial goals.
- Oversee the timely delivery of competitive price indices and retail updates in coordination with the Pricing Coordinator and Pricing Manager.
- Manages the prompt execution of Special Ship pricing in partnership with the Pricing Analyst and Coordinator.
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Data Science, Economics, or a College Business Administration diploma combined with 2+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in analytical roles with strong technical capabilities, including Excel, PowerQuery, Access, and SQL.
- Demonstrates excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Skilled in facilitation and presentations, with a proven ability to build and manage effective relationships.
- Highly organized with strong time-management skills.
- Possesses strong financial acumen.
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts, systems and industry best practices and apply these learnings to the continued development of the team/ support of the business.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to prioritize and accomplish work independently and within a team to meet deadlines.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills; and,
- Ability to work well individually with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team.
