
Business Development Executive – Biologics: Eurofins CDMO Alphora Inc

- Identify new business opportunities within Biologics (focusing on mammalian cell culture) from sources such as databases, publications, market analysis, trade shows and contacts.
- Liaise with the Vice President, Biologics on client identification, communication, onboarding, and management.
- Contact and build relations with potential or existing clients to determine compatibility between their requirements and Alphora's capabilities.
- Plan and facilitate initial client visits of the Alphora sites.
- Prepare and deliver new client quotations in collaboration with the Project Manager(s)
- Read, understand, and negotiate agreements of sale.
- Transition new client to the Project Manager
- Input data and maintain Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database.
- Prepare sales activity and client visit reports.
- Contribute to the implementation of marketing initiatives including providing market information, distributing materials, and attending tradeshows.
- Develop and maintain a current understanding of Alphora's capabilities and capacity as well as the unique selling proposition.
- Develop and maintain a current understanding of the external marketplace (e.g. conditions, trends, and competitors)
- Maintain a current knowledge of sales and project management skills and techniques.
- Must have a strong entrepreneurial spirit and work ethic.
- Previous experience working with a start-up business an asset.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Self-motivated, and comfortable generating new leads towards building the business.
- Strong scientific knowledge in biotherapeutics including mAbs, biosimilars, vaccines and large molecule drugs.
- Strong Knowledge of the biologics CDMO ecosystem in north America and globally
- Ability to work independently to manage workload and priorities and to reprioritize as the changing situation requires.
- Ability to conduct competitive market analysis.
- Results focused, customer-oriented team player, self-motivated, enthusiasm, and adaptability to changing business requirements.
- University degree in a biological science discipline or similar fields
- A minimum of 4 years' experience working in business development, strategy, and sales in a CDMO setting, preferably biologics
- Working knowledge of product lifecycle of large molecules (mAbs, biosimilars, ADCs)
- Track record in identifying, assessing, and advancing new business development opportunities.
