Position Summary:The Server position is concerned with seeing to the individual or group needs when it relates to Food and Beverage Service during a Banquet event.This role will pay an hourly rate of $16.00-$19.00 CAD and is tip eligibleBenefits for Part-Time roles: Pension matchingEVERGREEN ROLE: Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; there is no application deadline Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring the Food and Beverage service to groups during events at the Saint John Trade and Convention Centre is met with quality service
  • Adhering to time lines set within the Banquet Event Order and Sales team
  • Meeting and exceeding guests expectations
  • Ability to work independtely or within teams during the day breaks, and meal periods such as Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner as outlined within the Banquet Event Order
  • Responsible for setting the tables with the appropriate cutlery, crockery and glassware for the events
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the table between courses until the event completion
  • Ad hoc duties as required
Qualifications:
  • Ability to work flexibile and, on occassion, long hours based on business and event levels
  • Effective organiziation and communication skills
  • Ability to lift heavy weights, on occassion, depending on event requirements
  • Ability to multitask changing priorities depending on food service and guest needs
  • Previous experience in a similar role would be considered an asset with Buffet and Table Service
