
Deputy Program Manager – Delivery

- Support the Program Manager and client in establishing strategic delivery plans for the timely and cost-effective delivery of program projects
- Develop and lead a high performing team in the delivery of complex multidisciplinary water and wastewater projects.
- Work successfully within a team environment and communicate effectively with other program and project team members and clients.
- Communicate effectively with communications team and stakeholders to build a strong relationship of trust and understanding.
- Work closely with the program and project managers and other discipline engineers as a key player in leading the design and construction delivery.
- Support utilization of processes for project teams to standardize reporting and project methodology to complete design and construction within standards.
- Oversee the development of technical reports, calculations, and design decisions.
- Oversee development of technical specifications, tender documents, and review design drawings.
- Assist in conducting technical quality reviews of deliverables.
- Liaison with the disciplines to coordinate design efforts, manage project schedules, and track budgets.
- Conduct periodic site visits during design and construction
- Oversee delivery team to maintain continuity through complete project, from design through construction.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to technical staff.
- Bachelor's degree +12 years of related experience specifically in design and construction of municipal water and wastewater projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Previous experience overseeing and coordinating all technical aspects of capital works projects over $100 Million CAD.
- 15+ years of related experience specifically in design and construction of municipal water and wastewater conveyance projects, preferably with tunnelling and/or alternative delivery experience
- Post-graduate degree in water or wastewater treatment.
- Registered as a P.Eng. in the province of ON.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills as well as effective report writing.
