- Monitor and inspect structural works, including foundations, superstructures, platforms, canopies, and ancillary structures at multiple locations.
- Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Coordinate with contractors to resolve technical issues and field changes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and contract documents.
- Participate in site meetings, progress reviews, and safety inspections.
- Prepare daily reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and field memos.
- Support the Project Manager in managing construction quality.
- Liaise with design engineers to address Requests for Information (RFIs) and design clarifications.
- Assist in reviewing contractor submittals and method statements related to structural works.
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- A minimum of four years of experience in structural engineering, including at least two years in construction site supervision.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in British Columbia.
- Six years of experience in transit infrastructure or station construction.
- Strong knowledge of structural systems, concrete and steel construction, and relevant codes (e.g., CSA, ACI, AISC).
- Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
- Valid driver's license (site is not accessible by public transit).
- Experience with public sector infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam).
