We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong banking domain expertise, particularly in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Capital Markets.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of data-intensive systems, strong technical skills, and proven experience working in Agile delivery models.
This role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, technology teams, and data engineers to deliver regulatory, risk, and analytics-driven banking solutions.Key Responsibilities
Engage with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to AML, Capital Markets, and other banking initiatives
Translate business requirements into functional, data, and technical specifications
Analyze source-to-target data mappings, ETL workflows, and data transformation logic
Work closely with data engineering teams on ETL mapping, data modeling, and data validation
Use SQL to perform data analysis, reconciliation, impact analysis, and defect validation
Support design and implementation of data warehouses, reporting, and regulatory systems
Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews, and retrospectives
Create and maintain project artifacts such as BRDs, FRDs, user stories, data mapping documents, and test scenarios
Support UAT planning and execution, defect triage, and release validation
Ensure alignment with regulatory, risk, and compliance requirements within banking environmentsRequired Skills & Experience
Strong Banking domain knowledge with hands-on experience in:
Anti-Money Laundering (AML) / Financial Crime / Compliance
Capital Markets (trading, securities, risk, or related data domains)
Strong understanding of data concepts, including:
Data warehousing
ETL processes and data pipelines
Data modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical)
Hands-on experience with SQL for querying and data analysis
Experience creating ETL mapping documents and validating transformed data
Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively with both business and technical teamsPreferred / Nice-to-Have
Exposure to regulatory reporting, risk, or compliance-related banking initiatives
Experience with enterprise data platforms (on-prem or cloud)
Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar Agile tools
Experience working in large banking or financial services environments
