
Events and Marketing Assistant - Maternity Leave Contract

- Assist in the planning, execution, and coordination of on campus events to boost student engagement and participation.
- Assist with implementation marketing plans for campus food services.
- Coordinate the distribution of marketing materials (digital and print) for initiatives related to health and wellness, sustainability, and catering.
- Support the management of feedback programs to measure customer satisfaction and engagement.
- Maintain and update digital assets, including social media accounts, websites, and digital signage.
- Collaborate with internal teams and the university's Marketing & Communications department to support cross-promotional activities.
- Assist with the setup and teardown of events, including organizing materials, coordinating equipment, and ensuring proper venue arrangement. Provide troubleshoot support as needed.
- Help manage the timely distribution of promotional materials (posters, banners, digital signage) to various locations.
- Manage inventory of event and marketing supplies.
- Assist in preparing presentations and business review reports.
- Assist with audits to ensure food service locations meet branding and operational standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field. Relevant transferable skills are also considered.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with food services is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams.
- Ability to lift and move materials as part of event setup and teardown.
- Experience working in a fast paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience managing digital marketing tools (e.g., social media platforms, website content management).
- Must be able to work as a part of a team and independently as required.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
- Must be authorized to work in Canada.
