- This position is eligible for relocation support up to $7,500, based on distance of relocation
- Completion of an accredited degree/post diploma Ultrasound program, or recognized equivalent.
- Registered in good standing with College of Medical Radiation & Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
- Current credentialed member of Sonography Canada.
- Completion of a Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) program.
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and exercise independent judgement.
- Demonstrated ability to function independently.
- Demonstrated ability to assess requests and prioritize them to ensure excellent and prompt patient care.
- Proven ability to adapt standard work procedures to emergency situations.
- Demonstrated commitment to continued professional and personal growth and development through Continuing Education Programs and Self-Directed Learning Opportunities.
- Demonstrated compassion and respect for the patient, family and support persons in the provision of imaging services
- Perform routine and emergency procedures in accordance with established methods as described in departmental Policies and Procedures manuals, while documenting high quality images. Including but not limited to abdominal, OB/GYN, and small parts.
- Experience in musculoskeletal, neurosonography, vascular imaging, as well as assisting in interventional procedures an asset.
- Operate, troubleshoot and ensure ultrasound, medical imaging and ancillary equipment are performing in an effective and efficient manner.
- Prepare written and electronic reports required to document all procedures and test results.
- Ability to work all shifts including standby.
- Demonstrated commitment to be an integral part of the diagnostic imaging team to ensure smooth workflow within the department as well between the department and other departments in the hospital.
