  • A competitive hourly rate starting at $28/hr, then $28.84/hr once the probation period is completed

Job DescriptionOur team is currently looking for a versatile Class 1 Driver. We are looking for a candidate who adapts easily to change and is ready to take on new challenges.What you'll be responsible for:
  • Performing daily truck inspections
  • Following the schedule and itinerary provided by the supervisor
  • Picking up and delivering ferrous and non-ferrous metals in accordance with applicable safety standards
  • Completing all required transportation documentation
  • Performing basic truck maintenance
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Driving the vehicle in a safe and efficient manner
  • Performing pre-trip inspections before hitting the road
  • Ensuring that all safety standards established by law and by the employer are respected at all times, without exception
  • Regularly operating various types of heavy vehicles
  • Moving and cleaning out our trailers
QualificationsTo join our team:
  • You hold a valid Class 1 FM driver's license, with a good driving record
  • You have at least 2 years of experience
  • You are familiar with hydraulic systems
  • You have experience driving a variety of heavy vehicles, such as 12-wheel roll-offs, 4-axle dump trucks, 4-axle carcass trailers, etc.
  • You are safety-conscious
  • You are in excellent physical condition
  • You have strong customer service skills
  • You are reliable, diligent, and punctual
  • You take good care of equipment and tools
