- Underwriters, in the assessment of the risks AXA XL is insuring; and
- Clients, in the identification, evaluation, anticipation, and prevention of their risks.
- Conduct onsite visits to assess Machinery Breakdown exposures and develop detailed reports to relay conditions and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Work hand in hand with the network of specialized engineers of AXA XL Risk Consulting to serve clients
- Demonstrate the value of risk engineering services by building credibility and creating strong customer satisfaction.
- Participating in Toronto office meetings and other client facing presentations as required.
- Working directly with some of our more complex clients in industries such as mining and pulp and paper to improve their machinery breakdown risk profile. Activities will include multi-day in-person loss prevention visits as well as virtual or in-person loss prevention meetings to update status of recommendations or projects.
- This position will service our North Central USA territory of insured clients. Travel is anticipated to be 30-35%. Some travel to Canda anticipated.
- Engineering or Science based undergraduate degree
- Work collaboratively as part of a team, proactively across lines of business, and effectively with internal and external partners on special projects and furthering industry and business goals.
- The successful candidate will be a self-starter, continually looking towards individual development. Must be capable of managing their schedule and resources, continually assessing workload considering business priorities, and directing their own efforts accordingly while working in a remote work environment.
- Ability to apply industry experience to a broad range of customers and projects, consult effectively on a broad range of machinery breakdown risk controls, and identify exposures/assess controls on complex risks is required.
- The successful candidate will listen effectively and make sound assessments/conclusions based on review of written procedures, documents, discussions, and observations.
- Communicates effectively with broad range of underwriting and customer partners.
- Makes technical information and recommendations understandable to a broad range of audiences. Communicates in a manner that influences others to accept and act on recommendations.
- National board certification and other relevant experience with TSSA is a plus.
- Bi-lingual language skills (English & French) is a plus.
- Open to additional locations in Canada if the candidate has extensive experience/background in mining, pulp and paper
