- Provide daily leadership, coaching, and performance support to SOC operators
- Oversee SOC activities including system monitoring, alarm verification, incident coordination, and escalation
- Maintain real-time situational awareness of incidents, patient-related events, and operational issues
- Ensure accurate logging, documentation, and follow-up for all incidents, calls, and system activity
- Review and validate operator reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards
- Monitor scheduling, maintain staffing levels, and address coverage gaps
- Serve as the primary point of contact for field teams, healthcare staff, and internal departments
- Coordinate with clinical teams, facilities, IT, and emergency services to support integrated response efforts
- Support response to medical emergencies, behavioral incidents, and security-related events
- Liaise with external partners including emergency responders, monitoring centres, and vendors
- Track ongoing issues, maintain status updates, and communicate progress to stakeholders
- Conduct quality assurance checks, audits, and ensure adherence to SOPs and healthcare protocols
- Support onboarding, training, and development of SOC staff
- Promote a professional, collaborative, and service-oriented team environment
- Valid BC Security Worker Licence (SWL)
- Valid Non-Violent Crisis intervention is an asset
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the security industry, preferably in healthcare or high-risk environments
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in a Security Operations Centre (SOC), dispatch, or monitoring environment
- Strong understanding of incident response, emergency protocols, and security operations
- Experience supporting healthcare environments, including patient-related incidents and coordination with clinical teams, is an asset
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven leadership and ability to manage teams in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational reporting systems
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with a high degree of accuracy
- Experience with CCTV, access control, alarm monitoring, or dispatch systems
- Familiarity with workforce management tools and real-time adherence systems
- Experience with incident reporting, investigations, and operational reporting
- Strong coaching, performance management and training experience
