- Operate dry box or bulk tankers to move goods to designated parking spots or loading docks.
- Organize inventory by positioning trailers in a manner that facilitates efficient loading and unloading operations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while operating vehicles within the yard, including obeying speed limits and maintaining awareness of pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of shunt trucks, reporting any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to supervisors.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel, truck drivers, and other team members to coordinate trailer movements and ensure smooth operations.
- Complete necessary paperwork or electronic logs related to trailer movements, inventory counts, and vehicle inspections.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks on shunt trucks to keep them in good working order.
- Possession of an Ontario Class AZ license along with a clear drivers abstract and medical in good standing.
- Minimum 5 years of driving experience is required or truck driving school graduate and 3 years of experience.
- Able to safely lift and carry up to 50lbs.
- Ability to work morning, afternoon, and evening start times per customer delivery requests.
