- Lead the development and coordination of architectural designs for underground stations, entrances, ancillary buildings, and passenger-facing environments.
- Develop layouts, spatial planning, finishes, wayfinding concepts, and accessibility solutions suitable for high-capacity transit environments.
- Ensure architectural solutions meet applicable codes, transit design standards, safety requirements, and operational constraints.
- Coordinate closely with structural, MEP, fire-life safety, systems, tunnel, and civil teams to resolve interfaces.
- Participate in technical workshops, design reviews, and collaborative model coordination sessions.
- Review drawings, BIM models, and specifications for accuracy, integration, and constructability.
- Assist with design documentation, progress tracking, submission packages, and change management processes.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and design justification materials.
- Support responses to RFIs, design queries, and construction-related clarifications to maintain design intent.
- Support submittals to authorities and transit agency stakeholders.
- Communicate architectural considerations clearly to internal teams, contractors, and reviewers.
- Contribute to internal quality reviews and compliance checks.
- 3-5+ years professional architectural experience, ideally with exposure to infrastructure, large buildings, or complex public-realm projects.
- Degree in Architecture or a related field; progress toward professional licensure is a strong asset.
- Strong understanding of multidisciplinary coordination (structural, MEP, systems, fire-life safety, code compliance).
- Proficiency with Revit/BIM and familiarity working in large federated models.
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
- Experience working on rail, LRT, metro, or underground transit projects.
- Understanding of emergency egress, station planning, and passenger-flow considerations.
- Familiarity with North American building codes and transit authority design guidelines.
- Experience supporting design-build or P3 delivery teams.
