Job #5006 - Our client is a rapidly growing North American company known for innovative, high-quality products and a focus on bringing value to their customers! They are seeking a dedicated Accounting Supervisor to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. As the Accounting Supervisor, you will lead and manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures and hands-on experience managing the month-end close processes. They are willing to lead by example and can translate financial data into actionable insights to aid senior leadership in business decision-making. Main responsibilities include:

Leading month-end and year-end close, ensuring accurate reconciliations, journal entries, and accounts
Maintaining fixed assets, depreciation schedules, inventory, and intercompany reconciliations
Preparing financial statements, project-specific reports, and variance analyses for leadership
Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and short-term cash flow planning
Identifying workflow inefficiencies and implementing process improvements
Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and external audit requirements
Providing ad-hoc financial support and guidance to the CFO and other stakeholders

Post-secondary education in finance and/or accounting
Minimum 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
Good understanding of GAAP
Ability to lead, mentor and support a small accounting team
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Excel

How You Will Be Rewarded:

$75,000 – $90,000 salary range
