- Has thorough knowledge of all equipment and can identify all equipment in the Wet End Area.
- Ensures the capability of efficient operation of all equipment in the Wet End/Process areas, by using preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, overhauling and repairing equipment to achieve operational goals.
- Maintains logs and paperwork for each shift as needed and ensures the accuracy of data reporting systems such as the Maintenance Daily Logs, and Work Order forms.
- Performs ARC, MIG, TIG welding and Acetylene cutting in a safe and accurate manner when repairing and fabricating equipment.
- Performs work on work orders; plans and schedules additional work as needed (can utilize JDE).
- Must be able to locate parts and reference part numbers.
- Maintains work area in a clean and functional condition.
- Performs assigned responsibilities during Plant evacuation or other emergency situations.
- Ensures attendance and participation in training activities appropriate to the position and incorporates acquired skills and knowledge.
- Ensures no injuries to self or others by following safe work practices and policies.
- Ensures the interface with team members and other support groups is conducted in a participative management style consistent with operational goals.
- Conducts self in a professional manner and ensures personal appearance meets the standards necessary to perform the job function while representing the Company.
- Ensures that additional accountabilities as may be required by management be handled in a manner necessary to meet operational Divisional standards.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Must have a minimum of two years of maintenance experience and certification as an Industrial Mechanic (millwright).
- Must be able to communicate verbally in a professional manner.
- Must have the ability to read and understand plant and equipment manuals, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), instructional manuals, and mechanical blue prints.
- Must possess basic writing skills for recording information on daily logs, preventative maintenance forms and work orders.
- Must have basic math skills to perform measurements and fabrication.
- Must have a basic understanding of electrical systems.
- Must be capable of performing fabrication and welding to meet Company's standards.
- Must have the ability to operate valves, keyboards, equipment, and other controls.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, catwalks and maneuver in close quarters.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to furnish own hand tools.
- Ability to operate a forklift and aerial lift equipment once trained and certified and must meet the standards on fall protection restraints.
- Must be able to stand for long periods on concrete floors and work in extreme environments (hot, cold, humid, and slippery).

- Good knowledge of computer systems
- Experience with troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and electronic systems
- Prior experience in a processing environment
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills
