Our team members have what they need to make a meaningful impact and are truly valued for who they are and what they contribute.To learn more about CIBC, please visitWhat you’ll be doingThe Senior Audit Manager is an integral member of the Professional Practices Centre responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of Internal Audit methodology, managing various operational and risk management activities and assisting with the overall Internal Audit Annual Planning process. This position involves performing activities for both Canada and the United States, reporting to the Director, Global Audit Methodology.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 2-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.How you’ll succeed
  • Implement audit methodology – Assist with the development and implementation of audit methodology, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements in Canada and the United States (e.g., SR 13-1, Global Internal Audit Standards). Maintain all audit methodology guides, manuals and templates to ensure guidance is up to date and refreshed in accordance to relevant standards and timelines.
  • Engage with various regulators – Assist in the remediation of regulatory findings by updating existing guidance or creating new guidance. Stay abreast of emerging audit standards, regulations, technologies and best practices.
  • Annual planning activities – Assist with the development of the annual audit plan for the Internal Audit Department, including developing the tools and guidance for audit teams to leverage throughout the process. Assist with the development and delivery of specific aspects of training for the annual audit plan to individuals involved, as needed.
  • Business management operations – Assist in completing Internal Audit’s risk and control self-assessment in accordance with the Bank’s policies. Lead several operational and risk management activities, including managing the department’s records repository and coordinating annual and quarterly assertions with control owners. Support the department with the organization of the annual Internal Audit Townhall.
Who you are
  • You’re a certified professional. You have current accreditation and good standing with an auditing or accounting designation (CA, CPA, CIA). Methodology experience is an asset.
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • You have 8 years of experience in internal or external audit.
