It’s our employee promise.Our hybrid work model provides the balance between working from home and enjoying meaningful in-person interactions.Read on to see how you can shape the future, win as a team, and grow with us.About the roleWe are looking for an accounting specialist to join our growing financial transactions team.About the positionThe Financial Transactions team is a multidisciplinary team that participates in several mandates such as accounts payable and controls, corporate credit card management, treasury expense monitoring, international business travel, and corporate travel sustainability.As a member of the team, you will participate in various tasks such as:Analysis, reconciliation and accounting procedures:Perform monthly reports and various analyses such as changes in spending, travel patterns, greenhouse gases, etc.Perform reconciliations between different IT systems for G/L accounts overseen by the teamAnalyze and explain results by types of expenses, by department.Make accounting entries in ERPAccounting distribution of transactions in General Ledgers and Cost CentersCollect part of the data used for global sustainability reportingIdentify opportunities to reduce travel costs through various analyses​Controls & AuditingEnsure that users comply with internal policies by applying controls.Ensure that payments and processes handled in accounts payable are compliant and subject to rigorous controls to mitigate the risk of fraud.Collaborate with internal and external audit teams.Continuous ImprovementParticipate in the continuous improvement of operational, financial and internal control processes.Improve and optimize dashboards (KPIs)Software ImplementationParticipate in the implementation of a new expense management toolEstablish test scenariosCarry out project monitoringCollaborate with the various business units involvedWhat you'll put to good use:Relevant CPA designation or equivalent combination of education and experienceAt least 5 years of relevant experience related to the positionAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of Oracle, Power BI/PowerQuery is an asset.Experience working with an expense management toolExperience in combined financial analysis of accounting concepts and principles.Sense of initiative, desire to learn and understand and strong interest in teamwork.Ability to organize and prioritize workload and ability to manage multiple files at once.Demonstrate entrepreneurship, creativity and critical thinking.Customer and results oriented and high sense of ethics.Bilingualism essential (French/English) – Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.#LI-HybridWhat we offerWorking here means you'll be empowered to be and do your best every day.
