If so, the ministry of Technology and Innovation has the perfect opportunity for you in our Content & Collaboration Services (CSS) Systems Analyst role.As the CCS Systems Analyst, you will provide technical design and development support to Technology and Innovation's collaboration and document management repositories. Using a breadth of knowledge of EIM design, site development, project management, and change management, you will provide development, maintenance, installation, and enhancement support to custom off-the-shelf software for Electronic Information Management within the Government of Alberta, both in a primary and backup role.Working independently and within a team, you will also provide support to maintain Electronic Information Management (EIM) solutions consisting of OpenText Content Server (Livelink), Oracle WebCenter Content (UCM), Kofax Total Agility, multiple custom coded applications/support tools, and scanning systems. Your ability to provide technical consulting with other team members and client staff drawing upon best practices and knowledge of emerging EIM trends will be fundamental to this role.To be successful in this role, our ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced competency in creative problem solving, agility, and systems thinking to attain clarity on business requirements; assess and analyze requirements and prepare recommendations; and liaise with key contacts across various teams to ensure that business needs are met. QualificationsRequirements:
  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
  • 2 years of related experience in supporting the design, development, and maintenance of EIM (Electronic Information Management).
  • Experience in software development.
Equivalencies: Equivalencies will be considered:
  • A related two-year diploma in computer technology or a related discipline from a recognized postsecondary institution and four years related experience; or
  • A related one-year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and five years related experience.
Assets:
  • Knowledge of OpenText Content Server and associated extensions.
  • Knowledge of Oracle UCM and associated extensions.
  • Knowledge of MSSQL 2016, and MSSQL 2016 Server Utilities.
  • Adherence to programming principles, techniques, practices, logic and database design.
  • Experience in developing and debugging code in HTML, HTML5, VBA Script and JavaScript.
  • Experience in developing and debugging code in C# (.NET 4 or later), VB Script and MS SQL (2008 and later).
  • Expertise to develop in ASP.NET using the Model View Controller (MVC) architecture with Entity Framework.
  • Experience with scanning and manipulating PDF files.
