Closing Date: September 8, 2025As the leader of the multidisciplinary allied health services and Outpatient Rehab Services, the principal responsibilities include:
- Provide administrative and clinical leadership to the Outpatient multidisciplinary team
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement effective care delivery models and mechanisms to ensure the seamless provision of multiple specific allied health services
- Manage multidisciplinary human resources to ensure the provision of patient care services to established standards of excellence across multiple programs
- Support the implementation of best practices, quality documentation and accountability models across allied health
- Develop, implement and manage short/long-term plans for the multidisciplinary team, in collaboration with the leadership team, that are aligned with organizational goals and strategies
- Facilitate the delivery of safe, high quality, patient-centred care to patients
- Perform financial management responsibilities
- Coordinate and be accountable for the day-to-day utilization of resources to achieve the service's goals
- Perform corporate management responsibilities which support and advance departmental goals
- At minimum, completion of a Bachelor's Degree in a regulated health profession or recognized equivalent required
- Completion of a recognized Masters Degree in Health Administration, Business or recognized equivalent required
- Greater than five (5) years of relevant experience in a clinical practice capacity
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a supervisory capacity with rehabilitation staff required, including labour and employee relations experience
- Membership/certification from an RHPA College in Ontario
- Demonstrated effective change management and motivational skills
- Demonstrated empathy and compassion
- Has an understanding and commitment to interdisciplinary professional practice models
- Client service oriented, with the ability to effectively work with diversity; appreciates that people with different opinions, backgrounds and characteristics bring richness to the challenge or situation at hand
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, along with effective negotiation skills
- Excellent critical thinking and solution-focused skills
- Strong decision making skills with the ability to form/defend independent judgment and to use good judgment in assessing challenging situations
- Ability to work effectively, demonstrate composure under pressure/stressful conditions and to meet multiple and competing deadlines
- Excellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office and Outlook applications
- Maintains and protects patient confidentiality in accordance with UHN Confidentiality policy requirements
- Knowledge of applicable legislative, (i.e. Human Rights, Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health & Safety Act, etc.) UHN and/or departmental policies, procedures & protocols
- Knowledge of integrated health systems and resources
- Knowledge of professional and legislative provisions (e.g. Employment Standards Act, Substitutes Decisions Act, Social Contract Act, Human Rights legislation, etc.) which impact upon work performed
