- Investigate and settle property claims throughout the surrounding area;
- Interpret insurance policy wordings as well as determine policy coverage and reserves;
- Investigate and analyze the clientele’s coverage;
- Provide prompt and equitable settlement of claims while exercising superior customer service for policyholders;
- Work together with customers as well as vendors to bring a file to completion providing both sides with a resolution;
- Advise distribution partner on possible coverage opportunities if applicable;
- Other tasks as required.
- A minimum 2-3 years’ experience adjusting residential property claims or working in a relevant property claims role.
- Completion of CIP designation or desire to obtain.
- Experience in complex claim investigation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
- Completion of the IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification) or the HAAG Certification is considered an asset.
- Experience working with property estimating program Xactimate and Guidewire.
