- Baccalaureate in Nursing;
- Current registration in good standing with a Canadian registered nursing regulatory body;
- Significant immunization experience in a community health nursing role;
- Recent substantial experience in community public heath nursing;
- Recent experience in a supervisory role leading teams in a health care setting;
- Experience in rural/northern outpost locations would be considered an asset; and,
- Experience in supervising/managing the delivery of community health/public health programs considered an asset.
- Strong knowledge in community health programs;
- Strong supervisory skills;
- Strong leadership skills;
- Excellent interpersonal skills, communication, organization and flexibility;
- Ability to lead, instruct, and counsel; and,
- Clear understanding of confidentiality and privacy.
- TB risk Screening,
- Security Clearance with vulnerable sector,
- Valid Driver's License,
- BScN degree,
- Current Yukon RN registration in good standing,
- Current CPR HCP
- Occasional extended hours into evenings, on weekends and/ statutory holidays,
- regular exposure to infectious agents,
- willingness and ability to travel by road and air,
- lifting up to 15kg.
