As a student at PCL, you will get the opportunity for challenging work assignments in a supportive work environment which promotes personal and professional growth.We are seeking Solar Engineering Students for our Calgary District, within our Canadian Buildings Division that are available for a minimum of 4 months starting in January 2026.Please note: This role is fully based in-person on a solar project site in Claresholm, AB.As a Solar Engineering Student, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:Responsibilities

Coordinating drawings and work specific scope/trades/sub-trades
Conduction of trade quote reviews by verifying material quantities, hours and rates
Participation in project meetings
Completion of deficiency walks and updating of deficiency logs
Issues warranties
Takes/coordinates progress photos
Updates field drawings and produces as-built drawings
Performance of quantity takeoffs
Verification of site conditions and coordination of drawings
Set-up and maintenance of records
Project schedule updates and creation of manual schedules using Primavera P6 EPPM software
Creating and maintaining graphical scheduling using AutoCAD
Monitoring of workforce productivity

Qualifications

Preference for students in programs related to mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, sustainable & renewable energy engineering, or similar areas of discipline.
Candidates must have a strong desire to work in solar or renewable energy functions; prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.
Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting.
