- Prepare and package products for shipment, ensuring all items are properly packed to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify orders and ensure accuracy of items, quantities, and labeling.
- Label and generate shipping documents, including tracking numbers, packing slips, and invoices.
- Deal with inbound customer sales at the pickup counter
- Operate shipping equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and wrapping machines as needed.
- Communicate with carriers to schedule pickups and ensure timely delivery of shipments.
- Maintain inventory of shipping materials such as boxes, tape, labels, and other packing supplies.
- Ensure all shipments meet company standards and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with the receiving team to resolve discrepancies in shipments or inventory.
- Track and update shipment statuses and coordinate with customers as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping and customer pick up areas to ensure safety and efficiency.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with scanners / digital inventory tools for picking / receiving, preferred
- Minimum one to two (1-2) years of experience in a warehouse or shipping role.
- Knowledge of shipping procedures, freight companies, and shipping software.
- Ability to lift and move packages (up to 50 lbs).
- Familiarity with inventory management and order fulfillment systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Must be dependable and reliable and willing to take initiative
- Forklift certification (preferred but not required).
