The Product Owner represents the business unit in cross-functional Agile teams. With ownership of the product(s) responsibilities include managing and making visible the product backlog, prioritizing requirements for future product development, and evaluating the work generated by the team to ensure impeccable features and functionality of the product. Responsibilities also include but are not limited to assessing current systems / business procedures, participating in operational reviews, documenting requirements and ensuring successful implementation of enhancements.How You’ll Make an Impact:Work within Agile team environments to deliver best software solutions to our suit of products.
- Demonstrates experience collaborating with technology teams in the development and deployment of mobile applications
- Demonstrates proficiency in emerging technology trends
- Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
- Serves as Product Owner for Agile teams.
- Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy.
- Provide vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements.
- Plan and prioritize product feature backlog to ensure the team has an adequate amount of work.
- Partner with the product sponsor to identify growth opportunities and set the product vision.
- Assist with Agile team reporting and road-mapping.
- Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends.
- Facilitate discussions between business departments & Systems division to identify business requirements, testing needs and implementation timelines.
- Organize departmental and/or divisional communication.
- Arrange for the update of relevant training materials and job aids.
- Attend kick-off meetings to review existing operational controls.
- Organize documentation in advance of operational process reviews.
- Schedule resources and coordinate operational process walkthroughs & follow-up meetings.
- Conduct meetings with Managers to update them on the status of process analysis, findings and recommendations for enhancements.
- Assist with the implementation of process improvements and efficiency recommendations.
- 3+ Years working experience in Financial Services.
- • 3 + year(s) Working experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst or equivalent
- • 1 + year(s) Financial Services experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles.
- Strong communication, presentation and leadership skills.
- Proactive, energetic, drive for success.
- Comfortable working with multiple teams, in-house and remote.
- Able to build strong interpersonal relationships with cross divisional teams, senior management, and internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Creative thinker with a vision.
- Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio and Excel); working knowledge of software development.
