Job Category: Customer ServicesDegree Level: Bachelor's degreeJob Description:As an IP Solutions Design & Validation Engineer working within a lab team, you will be responsible for designing and testing end-to-end IP/MPLS solutions for a mobile backhaul environment for Nokia's largest IP customer. You will be responsible for solutions from presales to post sales and beyond, partnering with PLM, the internal account team and the customer directly.Responsibilities:
  • Partner with internal teams and the customer to design and test SR/ISIS and IP/MPLS solutions for the mobile backhaul environment.
  • Model designs in a dedicated lab using the latest SROS / SR Linux and NSP products.
  • Define and execute test plans to verify the commercial deploy-ability of the end-to-end IP solution.
  • Perform proof of concept tests and demonstrations to the internal team and customer. Create automation for solution regression testing.
  • Publish successfully verified solutions in customer consumable documents. Present the solution design and test results to internal and external audiences.
  • Work with an extended team to help ensure successful deployments.
  • Works independently and effectively in his / her area of New Product Introduction ( run Product or Solution Demos, Lab Trials, Field Trials, support formal Homologations or Type Approvals by customer on our products or solutions, provides technical support during pilot introduction of new products in customer networks) for pre-sales activities or deployment projects by delivering his / her outcomes with the expected quality, timely and according to estimated cost/duration.X11
Qualifications:You haveExcellent working knowledge and hands on experience with networking:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with 7+ years of industry experience, including at least 4 years in a customer-facing role.
  • 5+ years' experience in Networking Routing testing. Strong expertise in IP/MPLS and Segment Routing network design and architecture.
  • Experience in large-scale IP infrastructure projects
  • Advanced Nokia IP certifications recommended
  • Routing protocols (IS-IS, OSPF, BGP)
  • SR-MPLS, L2 and L3 services (L2VPN, L3VPN, EVPN)
  • Network synchronization (sync-e, PTP), OAM, QoS
It would also be beneficial to be familiar with:
  • Network Management,Netconf/Yang, gNMI, Linux & virtualization, Test automation / Python
Also, must be comfortable:
  • Interacting with customers and internal teams to describe complex technical issues clearly and concisely. Working collaboratively in a team to deliver results on short notice, and working across a wide range of problems
