- Define project scopes and provide fee proposals for existing clients.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and designers.
- Deliver high-quality engineering designs, including grading, site servicing, and stormwater management solutions.
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using tools like HEC-RAS, MIDUSS, EPA SWMM, VISUAL OTTHYMO, and PCSWMM.
- Review and oversee submissions to regulatory agencies.
- Contribute to environmental monitoring program development and implementation.
- Conduct technical research and author detailed reports.
- Coordinate with other design disciplines for seamless project execution.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of reports, specifications, and engineering drawings by signing, sealing, and delivering final documents.
- Peer-review internal work as part of quality assurance.
- Prepare scopes of work, detailed proposals, and cost estimates.
- Maintain effective relationships with clients, regulatory bodies, and sub-consultants.
- A degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with a focus on water resources and 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Proven leadership skills with experience mentoring and managing teams.
- Advanced expertise in hydrology, hydraulics, and modeling software such as EPA SWMM, PCSWMM, MIDUSS, VISUAL OTTHYMO, HEC-HMS, and HEC-RAS.
- Familiarity with geomorphology and its application to design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Previous experience in a consulting engineering environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for client, team, and regulatory interactions.
- A thorough understanding of municipal standards, construction methods, and terminology.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario.
