We are seeking a Senior Associate - Decarbonization to join our growing team. The Senior Associate - Decarbonization supports Introba’s Climate Team on a wide variety of projects focused primarily on strategic climate change/decarbonization planning for campuses, municipalities, provinces and utilities, and energy efficiency and emissions reduction policy development in the built environment/building sector.Our ideal candidate is an excellent problem solver, a critical thinker, comfortable contributing to team discussions, professional in conduct with clients, and able to learn and apply new concepts quickly. An excellent communicator and climate policy expert, the Senior Associate - Decarbonization will be involved in our team’s primary business of facilitating collaborative problem-solving efforts, as well as researching and drafting reports.Responsibilities & QualificationsKey AccountabilitiesLeads a team ensuring members receive adequate training, support and development opportunitiesAccountable for ensuring appropriate utilization, workload planning and forecastingImplements programs to improve the quality of service, products, and systems to meet client's requirements, and maximize the team’s competitive positionPromote quality issues with all team members and ensure that the quality control function is effectively performed and embedded as a standard in the teamAct as the team representative and maintain good relationships with clients, project stakeholders, associations, government bodies and other entitiesIs an active role model for team and office culture and promotes an inclusive workplaceBuilds and manages their own key clients and monitors key pursuits/opportunitiesContributes to GO/NO-GO decisions with the mindset of growing the businessMonitors and assists with keeping team performance at or above the annual planIs a discipline lead on projects with minimal peer/technical support requiredLeads the development of winning / high quality project proposals for complex projectsKnowledgeTeam ManagementProject Management, including Project FinancesWorkload Forecasting and PlanningClient ManagementTechnical knowledge:Expert understanding of policies, practices, research, and trends relevant to the sustainable built environmentExpert understanding of the sources of, and strategies for, reducing energy and emissions at building, portfolio, campus, and/or broader scalesExtensive experience building spreadsheet models/tools for building/portfolio/community energy/emissions analysisExpert understanding of financial assessment methodologies (LCCA)Holistic understanding of global sustainable issues, including current leaders and best practices in net-zero energy/emissions and low-carbon resilient buildings and/or communitiesExperience in conducting research and analysis of climate change and sustainability issues as they apply to the built environment specificallyQualifications and Experience8+ years consulting experience in building/portfolio decarbonization and/or climate policy/planningHas led a team / been the technical lead for high impact/responsibility projectsUniversity degree, college/technology diploma in Engineering, Planning or relatedAdditional Information#LI-HybridIntroba is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $109,400 - $136,700 annually for this position and local market.
