Help us raise the expectation of what an agriculture company can be and grow your career with Nutrien.The Instrumentation Supervisor will report to the Mill Maintenance Superintendent.This position is located in Lanigan, Saskatchewan, Canada and is not available for remote work.What you will do:
  • Responsible for the supervision of the Instrumentation crew
  • Oversee safe and efficient maintenance of all surface instrumentation equipment and air conditioning systems
  • Plan and manage all daily work schedules, ensuring safe and efficient task execution and minimal downtime, including down days, annual shutdowns and capital projects
  • Organize and schedule all instrumentation work within the Maintenance system and manage emergency breakdowns and weekly schedule
  • Provide planning and scheduling responsibilities for surface Instrumentation. PM/PdM schedules, BOMs, Inventory, Asset Hierarchy, etc.
  • Provide a safe workplace by ensuring all site policies and procedures are met
What you will bring:
  • A Journeyperson Certificate in Instrumentation, or other relevant education
  • 3-5 years' experience in the Instrumentation trade. Industrial worksites/refinery experience is preferred. Previous supervision and planning experience is also preferred.
  • Superior interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills are essential, including the ability to mentor, guide and correct performance where needed
  • Demonstrated positive safety behavior and safety leadership; demonstrate a high level of commitment to creating a safe working environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance, planning, scheduling and asset management, and experience with Oracle or other maintenance management systems would be considered an asset
  • Motivated individual with the ability to handle a large and varied workload, prioritizing work tasks with minimal supervision
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment as well as independently
