Your RoleJoin SMS Equipment and work with some of the largest and most advanced mining equipment in the world. You’ll play a hands-on role in keeping operations running safely and efficiently by:
  • Diagnosing and repairing haul trucks, dozers, excavators, shovels, loaders, and graders
  • Performing troubleshooting and major component replacements in shop and field environments
  • Working with hydraulic and powertrain systems
  • Ensuring timely, high-quality repairs whether working independently or in a team
  • Following all safety procedures, including confined space and PPE requirements
What You BringWe’re looking for a team player with a strong work ethic and safety-first mindset. Successful candidates will have:
  • Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic certification (Red Seal considered an asset)
  • Experience working on shovels such as the PC3000 or larger
  • At least 1 year of field experience preferred
  • Strong mechanical problem-solving skills and a commitment to safe, high-quality work
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in both team and customer-facing settings
