We have an immediate opening for an experienced, well-rounded Java developer to help grow our client business. You will be involved in back-end development using Java EE and also front-end UI development. Experience with enterprise software development of multi-tier, distributed, and multithreaded applications is required. Knowledge and experience with JavaScript, HTML5, css3, Bootstrap, and other UI technologies is a major asset. This position requires a strong design and development background, the ability to work in a fast-moving agile environment, good communication skills, outstanding rendering of designs into functional Java code, attention to quality, testability, and performance.What You Must Have:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 4+ years of experience in an Enterprise-level commercial software development environment
- Experience with open source development and open source tools
- Expert-level knowledge of the Java development space
- Knowledge of Java application development based on Java EE, WebLogic, and Spring Framework
- Experience with EJB, Web Services, MVC, and Stateless Web apps
- Experience with JavaScript, HTML5, css3, Bootstrap, and other UI technologies
- Experience with enterprise-scale systems, security, and web-based architecture and design principles
- Experience working in a process-light agile environment is an asset
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Superb customer-facing, time management, and organizational skills
- Strong initiative – must be able to work with a minimum of supervision
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work on different types of software development, as requested by our clients
