
Account Manager / Sr. Account Manager / Account Director (Medical Communications)

- Act as the primary contact for assigned accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term partnership.
- Lead account planning, including strategy development, insights gathering, and identifying growth opportunities.
- Contribute to and/or lead proposal development and presentations for new business opportunities.
- Oversee content development, including review, fact-checking, referencing, proofreading, and managing revisions with writers, translators, and physicians.
- Support or lead accreditation processes (CHE, CFPC, Royal College).
- Coordinate and manage timelines, budgets, and deliverables across multiple projects and stakeholders.
- Develop briefing documents, content templates, contact reports, and other client-facing materials.
- Provide training and guidance on internal processes, content standards, and client expectations.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure seamless execution and alignment with project objectives.
- Maximize revenue recovery across accounts and ensure financial efficiency in project delivery.
- Identify and secure organic growth opportunities within existing accounts; support business development efforts with new clients and therapeutic areas.
- Contribute to the preparation and submission of grant proposals and funding requests.
- Ensure effective engagement and communication with stakeholders across therapeutic areas.
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences, health sciences, or related field (advanced degree an asset).
- Account Manager level: 3+ years of experience in medical communications, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences.
- Senior Manager/Director levels: 5+ years of progressive client services/account management experience.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical/healthcare industries, regulatory codes (e.g., Innovative Medicines Canada, PAAB), and accreditation processes.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills with keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrated leadership, team management, and mentoring abilities (for senior levels).
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
- Bilingual (French/English) is an asset.
